Chembra Peak :
14 km west of kalpeta, at 2100 m above mean sea level, chembra is the highest Peak in wayanad and is an ideal area for trekking.Chembra is a part of the Wayanad hill ranges in Western Ghats, adjoining the Nilgiri Hills in Tamilnadu and Vellarimala in Kozhikode district in Kerala. Chembra peak is accessible by foot from Meppady. District Tourism Promotion Council provides guides and trekking equipments on hire basis with some charges to the tourists. Permission from the forest office in Meppady is required for trekking up to the Chembra peak. A heart shaped lake en route to the top of the peak is a major tourist attraction. The lake is believed to have never dried up.
Chithirapuram :
10 kms from Munnar, with its sleepy little cottages bungalows, old playgrounds and courts, chithirapuram still exudes an old world charm. Chithirapuram is one of the most beautiful and most picturesque hill stations located in Kerala. Home of the pallivasal hydel power project, this hill station is also famous for its picturesque tea plantation. Untouched by the passage of time, Chithirapuram hill station beckons you to immerse yourself in its exotic charm and sylvan surroundings.

Devikulam :
Devikulam is a small hill station about 16 km from Munnar in the Idukki District of the southern state of Kerala in India. It is 1800 m above sea level.This idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna and the cool mountain air is a rare experience. The sita devi lake with its mineral waters and picturesque surroundings is a good spot for picnic. The lake is also ideal for trout fishing.
Idukki :
A landlocked district, idukki is one of the most nature rich areas of kerala . The high ranges and wooded valleys are girded by three main rivers- periyar, thalayar and thodupuzhayar- and their tributaries. The river pamba also has its origin here. As a tourist destination, idukki is famous for the first double curvature Arch dam in India and wild life sanctuary. Attached to Idukki dam there are two other dams Kulamavu and Cheruthony. Idukki Reservoir is formed by these three dams. The underground power station is at Moolamattom beneath Nadukani hills. The wild life sanctuary formed in 1978 spread over Thodupuzha and Udumbanchola taluks and located 40 K.M from Thodupuzha town. Idukki wild life sanctuary spread over an area of 7700 hectares with plenty of wild animals. The Malankara lake spread over about 11sq.k.m in Thodupuzha – Moolamattom route( 6 K.M from Thodupuzha)
Lakkidi :
55 km east of kozhikode / 5 km south of vythiri, lakkidi the gateway to wayanad, is situated 700 m above the sea level. At the crest of the thamarasseri ghat passes. Lofty peaks, gurgling streams and luzuriant forests add magic to the journey up the winding roads to this hill station.
Munnar Hills :
Munnar hills are located in the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni & Kundala. Situated 1600 meters above sea level, this hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile British Government in South India. The area around munnar is surrounded by vast jungles and remains wet and cold during most of the year. Sprawling tea plantations, picture-book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make Munnar a unique experience for the tourist and traveller. Munnar is essentially a tea town. The people of Munnar share the culture and traditions of both Kerala and their Tamil neighbours from across the border.
Ramakalmedu :
Rolling green hills and the fresh mountain air make Ramakalmedu and enchanting retreat. The hilltop also offers a panoramic view of the picturesque villages of Bodi and Cumbum on the eastern slope of the Western Ghats. Situated at a distance of 40 km from Thekkady and 75 km from Munnar.
Echo Point :
Situated at a distance of 15 k.m. from Munnar , it is an ideal place for adventure tourism and trekking.The fresh mountain air, the mist-clad hills and panoramic view make it worth a visit. This scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Echo Point is on the way to Top Station from Munnar.
Rajamala :
Fifteen km from Munnar, Rajamala is the famous & beautiful hill station of Kerala. Rajamala is the natural habitat of the Nilgiri Tahr (Hemitragas hylocres), the Eravikulam - Rajamala region is now home to half the world population – estimated at around 1300 - of this endangered mountain goat. But the Tahr is only one of the reasons to make a visit to Rajamala.
Vagamon :
It is a very ideal tourist spot surrounded by the greenery of tea gardens, beautiful meadows, deep puzzling valleys and dales. The enchanting hill station dotted with tea gardens will soon be one of India's foremost eco-tourism projects. It is one of the most beautifully designed places with a chain of three hills - the Thangal hill, the Murugan hill and the Kurisumala. Grass covered hills, velvet lawns and the cool mountain air make Vagamon a perfect holiday retreat. It is a curious blend of religious mysticism and European legacies and a mark of religious harmony, important for Muslims, Hindus and Christians respectively.
Pullumedu :
Velvet lawns and rare flora and fauna add to the beauty of Pullumedu. The famous Sree Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala and the Makara Jyothi illuminations at the shrine are visible from here. The winding journey to this hill along the Periyar River, offers a stunning and beautiful view of hills draped in lush greenery.
Vandanmedu :
This is one of the world's largest auction centres for cardamom. A walk through the sprawling cardamom plantations of Vandanmedu is a heady experience. It is located in Thekkady - Munnar state highway,27 km from Thekkady and 85 km from Munnar.
Chellarkovil :
This sleepy little village with its breathtaking view of the plains and cascading waterfalls is a feast for the eyes. The village slopes down to the famous coconut groves of Cumbum in neighbouring Tamil Nadu
Vandiperiyar :
The River Periyar flowing through the centre of this town nourishes its vast tea, coffee and pepper plantations. A major trade centre, Vandiperiyar is also home to a number of tea factories. The Agriculture Farm and Flower Garden have a delightful array of rose plants, orchids and anthuria.
Pattumala :
Pattumala or Hill draped in silk in Peermede has charms like no other. The lofty peaks, the little streams and the green expanse of the tea plantations give the hills an ethereal beauty.
