(78 kms from Kochi) the gorgeous and popular waterfall on the
border of the Sholayar forest ranges are just 5 km apart. The
Athirappalli Falls joins the Chalakkudy River after falling down a
drop of 80 feet. Vazhachal is part of the Chalakkudy River. Both the
waterfalls, their cool, misty water fall down in the backdrop of
thick green forest and rocky land, and are a prime attraction for
tourists.

waterfalls, because the waterfalls are in full force just after the
monsoons. Both waterfalls are a part of the Chalakudy river and
5 km apart on the road to hill station (Valparai) which has
excellent tea estate and has one of India's highest elephant density
habitats and is a crucial corridor between Parambikulam and

Vazhachal Waterfalls : The Vazhachal waterfall (83 kms
from Kochi), is a beautiful and popular waterfall on the frame of
the Sholayar forest range in Kerala. The Vazhachal is part of the
Chalakkudy River and 5 km from Athirapally waterfall.

located in the east of Athirappilly is the charming but lesser known
Charpa falls which plunge on to the road during monsoon.
Anakkayam : 20 km from Chalakudy on the Sholayar
Peringalkuthu route, Anakkayam means the "Elephant pit".
It is noted for a lake with cool and calm waters. Mulamkuzhi
: The crystal clear medicated water of the River Mulamkuzhi and
the waterfalls of Venanbravady near Malayattur in Eranakulam is a
sight worth watching. There is also a confluence of the rivers
Periyar and Perumthode. Attukal : Attukal in
Idukki district is between Munnar and Pallivasal, and a beautiful
sight of waterfalls and rolling hills is ideal for trekking and is
considered to be a trekker’s paradise. Cheeyappara
: The Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls are located between
Narimangalam and Adimali on the Kochi - Madurai highway. This
marvelous waterfalls fall down in seven steps. Nyayamkad
: 10 Kms from Munnar, the Water cascade down a hill from a
height of about 1600 meters between Munnar and Rajamala Nyamkad is
an excellent picnic spot and trekking point. Power
House Waterfall : 18 Km from Munnar is on the way to Thekkady
from Munnar, which cascades down to step rock 2000m above sea level.
Thommankuthu : 28 km from Thodupuzha is famous for
its seven-step waterfall here is a much loved picnic spot. At each
step, there is a fall and a pool beneath to enjoy the panoramic
beauty and ideal for trekking and hiking. Thusharagiri
: 50kms from Kozhikode, Thusharagiri (means snowy peak)is a
tourist spot. Two streams originating from the Western Ghats and
meet here to form the River Challipuzha. The river diverges into
three waterfalls, creating a snowy spray. Kanthanpara
Waterfalls : This waterfall is about 30 m in height and is
located 12 kms from of Kalpetta Sentinal Rock Water
Fall : A three step water fall of more than 200m in height,
22kms at Soochipara near Meppadi, Kalpetta with marvelous scenery
provides for white water rafting and different adventure sports.
